Pinellas Park Elementary School † Teaching Through Technology

Pinellas Park Elementary
PPE Bears

Hello Pinellas Park Families,

I am thrilled to be the new principal at Pinellas Park Elementary School. I am looking forward to an outstanding year getting to know the students and families of this wonderful community. As you know the vision of Pinellas Park Elementary is: As a community we will provide the necessary support to all students so that they will succeed and reach the highest level of student achievement. The vision is one that is dedicated to the belief that everyone can achieve to their optimum potential. Mrs. Karen Vargus, Assistant Principal, and I will work side by side with teachers to align content and instruction to the appropriate levels of rigor called for by the Common Core State Standards. The Common Core State Standards define what students should know in English Language Arts and Mathematics. They help students in the district learn the same skills as other students in Florida and the nation. Find out more about the Common Core State Standards at www.pcsb.org and view the Parentsí Guides to Student Success by visiting http://pta.org.

We know the teachers are excited to begin the 2013-2014 school year and so are we!
