Pinellas Park Elementary School   Teaching Through Technology

Pinellas Park Elementary
PPE Bears

Welcome to Pinellas Park Elementary! We have much to celebrate as we begin the 2014-2015 school year. Our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students made proficiency gains in every subject area on the state FCAT! We are growing as readers, writers, mathematicians and scientists! We will continue this trend of learning gains this upcoming school year.
Pinellas Park Elementary provides many extra learning opportunities at a free or reduced rate. This year PPE is offering free VPK. How exciting to have 4 year olds join us on our educational journey! Children who attend our R’Club after school care program will receive free tutoring through the Promise Time initiative. We will also be offering a free science STEM academy to twenty fourth graders and twenty fifth graders. I hope you will take advantage of this free extended learning for your child. Keep an eye out for more information on how to register.
Our student hours have changed for the 2014-2015 school year. Our new student hours are 8:35 AM- 3:05 PM. Our free breakfast program begins in the cafeteria at 7:45 AM and ends promptly at 8:30 AM daily. Students are welcomed into classrooms by the teacher at 8:20 AM daily.
Mrs. Vargus and I are committed to ensuring that the students of PPE receive a world class education. We are confident we will make even greater strides in student learning this upcoming school year.
Remember our motto: Pinellas Park Elementary is where we come to learn! And we love learning!

Go Bears!

VISION
As a community we will provide the necessary support to all students so that they will succeed and reach the highest level of student achievement.

MISSION
All stakeholders will work together in a cooperative partnership which will enable our students to become contributing citizens and life long learners. Together we will provide a balanced curriculum which is driven by data and based on individual needs.

Classroom Placement
We believe that all teachers at Pinellas Park Elementary are highly qualified and provide instructional settings in which children thrive and succeed. Class placements are generated by many factors such as prior teacher input, academic performance, requirements for special education classes, etc.
The school is not in a position to accept requests for specific teachers. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
